The Portland Sea Dogs lost three players, including their top pitcher and hitter in a three-team trade  after today’s 8-5 win over the Altoona Curve at Hadlock Field.

The Red Sox, Dodgers and Mariners were involved in the seven-player deal.

Pitcher Stephen Fife (11-4, 3.66 ERA), outfielder Chih-Hisen Chiang (.340, 18 homers, 76 RBI) and catcher Tim Federowicz (.277, 8-52) of the Sea Dogs were involved. So was pitcher Juan Rodriguez, of Class-A Greenville.

Federowicz is going to the Dodgers’ Triple-A team in Albuquerque, Fife to Los Angeles’ Double-A team in Chattanooga and Chiang was dealt to the Mariners’ organization.

In the three-way deal the Dodgers dealt Trayvon Robinson to the Mariners.
